On behalf of our client, a worldwide active life sciences group headquartered in the Basel region, we are seeking a Legal Counsel (f/m).
Act as an legal counsel partnered with internal clients of the group (i.e. advise, draft, negotiate, review, revise and analyze contracts relating to supply, manufacture, development and distribution of the group’s products and services).
Provide risk management advice on legal issues.
Research and answer inquiries regarding contract rights and obligations, privacy rights, legal clearances and other legal matters.
Assist in legal team projects such as contract management, templates.
Work as part of the business unit to streamline the legal queries and transactions.
Be part of a small but influential legal team and will report to the General Counsel.
Master of Law and Bar membership with a minimum 6 years of experience practicing law.
Good experience in international contract law preferably in the life sciences industry with a solid background in key elements of IP law and the impact on contract drafting and effect of breach.
Fluency in business English and German and at ease in drafting legal documents in both languages.
Understand the wider EU, CH and other applicable regional and domestic competition legislation and regulatory regimes as well as of environmental safety issues including product liability issues.
Expertise in supply, sales, distribution and agency agreements, as well as REACH and other regulations.
Effective negotiator and able to distinguish important from unimportant issues.
Anticipate and prevent problems, identify and evaluate key issues and facts always maintaining a positive outlook.
