On behalf of our customer, a smaller pharmaceutical start-up group with a regional headquarter located in the Zug/Switzerland area, we are seeking the Head of Manufacturing (f/m):
Responsibilities:
• Report to the VP Chemistry Manufacturing & Control
• Ensure uninterrupted supply of API, intermediates and finished products
• Collaborate with CMOs, as well as internal and external stakeholders, regarding supply planning, forecasts and logistics
• Optimize contract value and deliver ongoing cost saving and other value benefits
• Plan, coordinate and monitor all operations to meet annual objectives
• Measure supplier performance and provide strategies for continuous improvement and cost savings
• Direct, manage and implement activities related to forecasting, production planning, purchasing, shipping, distribution and warehouse logistics
• Lead strategy in determining solutions to complex supply issues
• Implement packaging serialization procedures to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and internal processes
• Review production plans against forecast and schedules activities with CMOs
• Develop, implement, audit and maintain policies and procedures to ensure full availability of manufacturing materials in a cGMP environment
• Conduct, in cooperation with Quality Management, troubleshooting and investigations regarding manufacturing and supply issues
• Review documentation, processes and procedures relating to the group’s activities
• Identify issues, assess compliance; communicate findings to senior management
• Ensure accurate inventory records
• Provide annual budget forecast and resource planning
• Support inspections conducted by government agencies or internal auditors
• Comply with company policies and procedures with a heightened sense of compliance risk management
• Ensure compliance of products with GDP throughout the supply chain
Requirements:
• Master of Science in a health-related field; MBA would be a plus
• +12 years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, including supply chain management
• Excellent knowledge of cGMP, GDP and other regulations (Swiss Medic, EU, FDA)
• Fluency in English; other languages will be a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interact effectively with governmental agencies and internally at all levels of the organization
• Ability to manage projects, teams or personnel of significant scope and complexity, while meeting deliverables and timelines
• Proven leadership and project management skills
