For our customer, a leading multinational Life Sciences group headquartered in the Basel area, we are seeking a Head of Project Office/Chief of Staff:
Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Head of Division and being a member of the divisional Leadership Team, act as supervisor and coordinator of the Division’s strategic projects
• Identify and analyse (confidential) issues and risks that might impact the Division’s objectives, and provide guidance
• Proactively influence, support and implement strategic decisions of the Division and translate the Division’s strategy into operational plans
• Provide thought leadership and act as an internal consultant
• Lead the communication regarding the Division’s initiatives; develop a communication plan to ensure the Division’s agenda and initiatives are understood, reinforced and visible throughout the network
• Facilitate decision making and execution related to the Division’s growth strategy and transformation
• Drive the agenda of the divisional Leadership Team meetings, providing organizational and professional support to leadership in preparation for and during such meetings
• Prepare and review all documents of the Leadership Team that are required in connection with the Division’s Business Strategy (5 years’ and 10 years’ plan)
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the multiple BUs and business models within the Division
• Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements:
• Masters degree in business or science, complemented with an MBA
• Experience in P&L responsibility and project management gained at an international pharmaceutical or biotech group as well as a renowned consulting firm
• Fluency in English; German and/or French working knowledge would be a plus
• Proven track record in providing guidance to executive teams, working with executives and managing multiple complex projects
• Experience in gathering, analyzing and understanding divergent ambiguous data; ability to formulate hypothesis and translate into actionable plans
• Understanding of issues and trends within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries
• Highly organized, structured and efficient working style; ability to manage a high workload with conflicting priorities in a challenging environment
• Strong results and action orientation
• Ability to influence and build followership without direct control
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills
• Strong strategic and financial analysis skills
• Highly motivated to develop career
• High integrity and loyalty; ability to effectively manage confidential information
• Willingness to travel (up to 30%)
