Legal Counsel Life Sciences [CLOSED]

Legal & Compliance , Pharma & Chemie

On behalf of our customer, a multinational Life Sciences group with an office in the Basel area, we are seeking a Legal Counsel Life Sciences:

Responsibilities:

  • Act as legal counsel serving various internal clients of the group (i.e. draft, review, negotiate and analyze contracts relating to R&D, licensing, regulatory, manufacture, promotion, marketing/sale/distribution of the group’s products)
  • Manage and coordinate legal issues in connection with, e.g., privacy, regulatory, IT and IP
  • Provide risk management advice on legal issues
  • Manage, and support, legal projects relating to, e.g., establishment of policies (such as contract management) and templates
  • Work as part of the business to streamline the legal queries and transactions
  • Manage disputes and claims by, and against, the group
  • Select, instruct and monitor external counsel and other advisors
  • Be part of a small but influential international legal team

Requirements:

  • European/Swiss Master of Law and Bar Exam with a minimum of 4 years experience practicing law, preferably gained in-house at a multinational Life Sciences or other industrial group or in a renowned law firm advising multinational Life Sciences or other industrial groups
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating international contracts
  • Very good English and German knowledge; at ease in drafting contracts and other legal documents in both languages
  • Effective negotiator and a good sense for priorities and relevance
  • Anticipate and prevent problems, identify and evaluate key issues and facts always maintaining a positive outlook
