On behalf of our client, a global biopharmaceutical company (focus on oncology) with a regional headquarter located in the Basel area and currently more than 9,000 employees worldwide, we are seeking, starting immediately or by arrangement under a staff leasing arrangement and lasting until 31 July 2024 (as may be extended), a “Senior Manager / Associate Director, Health Economics Hematology (100%)”. The draft JD reads as follows (with minor adjustments from us):

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Director HEOR-Hematology Lead Europe and New Markets (NM), support and manage health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) programs to ensure high quality deliverables
  • Lead the adaptation of the HEOR materials to country settings in Europe and NM
  • Generate and disseminate scientific evidence to support health technology assessments (HTA) and reimbursement submissions, and work with internal stakeholders to inform payers, patients, providers and policy-makers on the value propositions for the group’s products
  • Work closely to support other functional groups which can include Market Access (MA) Europe and NM, EU Medical Affairs and Clinical Development
  • Play the key contact role in the development and maintenance of the hematology HE evidence generation plan; keep regular alignment with medical affairs and commercial teams
  • Lead the development of European early economic models for pipeline products
  • Collaborate with scientific communications to provide HEOR related scientific publications
  • Support development of health economics study protocols, reports, and other deliverables and ensure quality and completeness of output; oversee timeline for deliverables associated with analysis and reporting
  • Help define and provide appropriate levels of internal professional development and training
  • Provide regional and country specific HEOR trainings to the relevant teams
  • Use best efforts to complete work within available budget
  • Awareness of EU wide health economic and RWE Policy

 

 

Requirements:

  • Master or PhD in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Public Health, Population Health, Statistics or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of related experience in HEOR, or candidates with a master’s degree with +8 years of HEOR global or European experiences
  • Knowledge or experience in Hematology/Oncology would be an asset
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; other major European languages like German or French would be a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • IT savvy – PC literacy required in applications such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Veeva
  • Proven ability to drive results at a high level of quality as a strategic and creative thinker/leader
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix team environment and effectively communicate relevant HEOR strategies and evidence studies outputs
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with ability to determine and meet objectives
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to business travel as may be agreed
  • Residence in the greater Basel area and Swiss work permit, incl. cross-border commuter permit if residence in Germany or France
